Cashmere Care Instructions

With proper care, your cashmere garments will last for many years and become even softer over time.

Recommended Care

• Dry Clean - This is the safest method to maintain the shape and texture of your cashmere
• Hand Wash - Use cold water and a mild detergent specially formulated for wool
• Machine Wash - Only if your machine has a dedicated wool/hand-wash cycle with cold water

Drying

• Never wring or twist cashmere
• Gently press out excess water with a towel
• Lay flat on a clean, dry towel to air dry
• Keep away from direct heat and sunlight

Storage

• Fold cashmere garments; do not hang them
• Store in a breathable cotton bag
• Use cedar blocks or lavender sachets to deter moths
• Clean before storing for the season

Pilling

Minor pilling is natural for cashmere. Use a cashmere comb or fabric shaver to gently remove pills. Avoid excessive rubbing against rough surfaces.
